3EL developed a couple of specialized electronic circuit to support test equipment manufacturing. These circuits are sold individually or as part of custom built test equipments.

Some circuits are MCU based computer IO interfaces, multiplexers and sensors while others are simpler digital or analog circuits for specific use cases. The MCU based circuits are sold with appropriate software support, OS drivers, LabView VIs and user softwares.

2×16 IOcard

2x16 IO Eth V3.2 is a microcontroller based interface circuit for industrial automation featuring 16 digital and 4 analog inputs and various types of output ports (16 low side driven outputs, 2 POWER outputs and 8 RELAY outputs).

The IO card can be controlled and monitored through an integrated Ethernet interface. The main circuit can be extended by two additional IO extension cards handling together up to 32 more digital inputs and 32 more RELAY outputs over the standard ports. There is also an integrated I2C interface featuring third party ICs and circuit connections. The MCU can handle external signals as interrupts, can store the input states until readout operations, and can execute macros regarding predefined switching sequences.

The digital inputs are overvoltage protected and features selectable input logic. In accordance of the application requirements they can be individually selected as active HIGH or LOW inputs.

Extension board for 2×16 IOcard

2x16 IO Card Extension V3.0 is an IO extender circuit for the 2x16 IO Eth V3.2 microcontroller based interface, featuring an additional 16 digital inputs and 16 relay driven digital outputs.

The Extension card is be controlled and monitored by the 2x16 IO Eth V3.2 microcontroller on the same internal interface as the main circuits. The Extension card should be linked to a 2x16 IO Eth V3.2 by a ribbon cable. There is also possible to link one more extension circuit in the chain. Therefore the 2x16 IO Eth V3.2 card's MCU can extendedly handle more external signals, can store more input states until readout operations, can drive more outputs and can execute macros regarding predefined switching sequences.

High voltage pneumatic switch

This special high voltage switch can be used as isolation bridge when performing AC withstanding, DC withstanding as well as insulation resistance tests in different use cases.

Targeting user’s protections, the device implements hardware techniques to improve safety. The spring loaded contacts insulation can withstand 5kV (tested) on adjacent poles. The mechanism was tested performing over 100k ON/OFF cycles without significant wearnes. The switch is pneumatically actuated with integrated electrovalve and autonomously switches off in case of air leakage.

5x64 AMUX V1.0 is a microcontroller based analog multiplexer circuit for industrial automation featuring 5 rows and 64 columns, resulting in a 320 points matrix of individually controllable switches.

The multiplexer circuit can be controlled and monitored through an Ethernet interface. In addition the circuit integrates a single bus structure over RS485 interface featuring address based extension of the switching matrix up to a maximum of 75 rows and 960 columns in one common MUX circuit.

All switches are implemented with OPTO-MOSFET based SSR relays. Each individual node can switch and hold a maximum current of 500mA.

Individual switches can be turned ON or OFF in sequential order or in a parallel handled group based on specialized commands sent to the MUX MCU over a TCP/IP socket.

Proximity Switch

PSW2 is a microcontroller based interface circuit for non-contact reflective object sensors. It can adopt various reflective sensors as input devices.

The sensor drive signal is modulated to improve direct sunlight rejection. The circuit allows accurate sensing distance adjustment and can switch various resistive, inductive and capacitive loads on output. The output is also protected against short circuits, thermal overloads and electrostatic discharges.

The interface board has dedicated soldering pads allowing to directly connect reflective sensors (ANODE, CATHODE, EMITTER, COLLECTOR), supply voltage and output signal.
